St George’s played host to a ‘Games and Social’ evening on Saturday as our community came together to support one of our young members, Julia.
Julia, a student in her final school year, is travelling to Uganda in January 2017 with the charity Christian Restoration Ministries International (CRMI): Children of Hope. This is a Christian charity that sponsors children in the country and provides medical aid in villages.
St George’s came together to enjoy a fun-packed evening, with a Beetle Drive, Bingo, Dingbats and a quiz, as well some fantastic poems and funny nursery rhymes. The successful evening raised over £230.00 for Julia’s mission, bringing her closer to her overall target.
We wish Julia continued success in her fundraising efforts and for her mission, which provide valuable experience to the student looking to study adult nursing from September.
