Mothering Sunday | National Call to Prayer

The Presidents of Churches Together in England (including the Archbishop of Canterbury) have issued a call to prayer in the light of the coronavirus pandemic. This is for all churches and people of prayer to join this Sunday 22 March, Mothering Sunday.

As part of the day, we are all asked to light a candle in a window at 7pm on Sunday night as a visible symbol of the light of life, Jesus Christ. If we can, we are also asked to ring someone who is isolated and vulnerable and buy an extra item for the local food bank.

On the same day, locally, on Radio Cumbria, an Act of Worship will be broadcast, on the Richard Corrie show. Bishop Emma will be preaching. Do tune in if you can or listen over the internet here
